Active Purge

The IMI Remosa Active Purging Panel provides fully automated and continuous control of the Fluidised Catalytic Cracking (FCC) valve purging. Parameters like mass and volumetric flow rate, upstream & downstream pressure and temperature will be continuously controlled under any process condition. It supports any purging media - available for air, nitrogen or superheated steam.

Design is fully customisable and it can be adapted for any size or instrumentation. The Active Purging Panel can be controlled by a hydraulic power & control unit PLC or alternatively by using an autonomous PLC. Target flow values are monitored and adjusted in real time in response to current process conditions, including transients like plant start-up and shutdown.

Local and remote alarms, with fully configurable logics and data logging, will immediately report issues, including missing or excessive flow and saturated steam conditions. This will enable pre-emptive maintenance, preventing unrecoverable damage on valve components from occuring. A saturated steam alarm prevents internal erosion due to water.

Key features:

  • Flow control valve
  • Pressure control valve
  • Pressure transmitter
  • Temperature transmitter
  • Flow meter & transmitter
  • Steam trap
  • Bypass line with restricted orifice
  • Local PLC (optional)
